About Suiye Farm
Our Story
Every horse that has given itself to people deserves a kind old age. For more than twenty years I have stood beside horses, in teaching, in sport, and on mounted-police duty, watching them spend their lives helping people grow, work, and serve. But the real challenge begins when they grow old, get hurt, or can no longer work.
In Taiwan there is still no proper system to care for retired horses. Some are sold on again and again, moved from one workplace to the next, and never find the stable, lasting care their age and bodies need. Each time I saw this, I grew more certain: retirement should not be the end of a horse’s worth. It should be the beginning of another good life.
So in 2026 I founded the Suiye Farm Retired Horse Sanctuary. This is not another workplace, but a home where they can truly rest. We respect each horse’s body and character, providing proper care, medical attention, and nutrition, and a free, safe place to live, so they can slowly enjoy a retirement of their own, with no pressure.
Through this sanctuary we hope not only to care for retired horses, but to help more people rediscover the value of their lives, and to build together a new culture in which retirement means not being cast aside, but being worthy of care.

About Me
I work as a Horse Welfare and Teaching Quality Consultant, with long-term involvement in equine care, instructional observation, and retired-horse welfare. My role is not only to assess whether a horse is capable of working, but to ensure that every horse is properly understood, respected, and cared for, physically and mentally, through work, teaching, and retirement.
I currently serve as Horse Welfare & Teaching Quality Consultant at Hannover Equestrian Club, and as founder of the Suiye Farm Retired Horse Sanctuary.
I believe a horse’s value should never be measured solely by performance, but by the dignity and care it receives at every stage of life.
