“Retirement is not the end of a horse’s worth. It’s the start of another good life.”
For more than twenty years I’ve stood beside horses, in teaching, in sport, on mounted-police duty. The real challenge begins when they grow old or injured and can no longer work. Taiwan still has no proper system to care for retired horses. In 2026 we founded the Suiye Farm sanctuary, not another workplace, but a home where they can finally rest.
